Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities: - Provide nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or assigned supervisor - Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist in patient assessment and care planning - Participate as a member of the healthcare team in meeting the needs of patients and their families - Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan, organization's policies and procedures, and principles of relationship-based care - Possess excellent communication skills and mentorship abilities - May participate in committees or projects, including quality improvement projects Qualifications: - Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program - One year of LPN experience in an applicable setting preferred - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Experience working in a team environment - Computer skills required, experience with electronic medical record systems preferred - Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call - Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting License or Certification: - Must obtain prior to start date: - Current LPN license by applicable state requirements - Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers - Acceptable certificates of course completion from providers such as the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network Compensation: - $20.64 - $29.12 per hour Benefits Eligible: - Yes Schedule: - Full Time - Daytime hours vary between 6:30 am - 5:30 pm; Monday to Friday - No weekends or holidays Site Description: Mayo Clinic has multiple campuses located in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, Jacksonville, Florida, and Rochester, Minnesota.
