    Job Description

    Job Title: Financial Institutions and Counterparty Credit Specialist

    We are looking for experienced individuals to join our team as Financial Institutions and Counterparty Credit Specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Citi's credit exposures globally, working closely with a team of regional and industry specialists. Your primary focus will be on credit-sensitive products and services such as loans, derivatives, trade finance, and securities services.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a team of risk professionals overseeing Financial Institutions and counterparty credit risk management.
    • Collaborate with key partners in the first line of defense to ensure adherence to risk management frameworks and policies.
    • Provide second line of defense oversight and review of lending and counterparty credit activities.
    • Represent the department in senior governance forums and internal governance meetings.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to Financial Institutions and counterparty credit risk.
    • Perform pre-trade advisory for complex transactions and enable real-time reporting for market events.
    • Monitor and analyze CCR exposure across the relevant industries.
    • Oversee and sponsor the implementation of remedial actions in response to regulatory exams, audits, and Credit Risk Reviews.
    • Manage and develop the team members and successors within the division.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in financial institution and counterparty credit risk.
    • Strong knowledge of capital markets products and analytical skills.
    • Ability to quickly assess key risks in transactions and business propositions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at a board level.
    • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred.
    • Level 1 Senior Credit Officer certification or ability to quickly attain it.

    Salary Range: $275,000.00 - $500,000.00
