    ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

    As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you have the freedom to choose your own work schedule. Shift availability may vary, depending on store needs. This role is ideal for those who want a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand TM, you won't be included on the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you through our myTime mobile scheduling app. Active engagement and timely responses are required.

    We will contact you throughout the year to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts at Target. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.

    If selected as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and participate in a short-term structured training schedule to prepare for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts that suit you.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    A typical day as a Guest Advocate may include:

    • Prioritizing the guest service experience and delivering the service standard
    • Authentically greeting all guests and quickly identifying if assistance is needed
    • Engaging with guests, asking questions to understand their specific needs
    • Being knowledgeable about products, services, and store offerings to improve the guest experience
    • Thanking the guest and showcasing appreciation for their choice to shop at Target
    • Efficiently scanning and bagging guest items in compliance with safety standards
    • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and guest service
    • Informing guests about brand launches, store events, and activities
    • Explaining the benefits of Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process
    • Guiding guests in utilizing fulfillment services and the Target App features
    • Handling returns and resolving any negative situations
    • Providing easy and seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
    • Maintaining a clean work area and stocking supplies
    • Demonstrating ethical conduct, safety awareness, and compliance
    • Supporting guest services such as order pick up and drive-up
    • Performing other duties based on business needs

    WORK EXPECTATIONS

    We expect the following from our team members:

    • Accurate handling of cash operations and transactions
    • Efficient and safe movement of merchandise, including the ability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
    • Flexibility in working nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Active engagement in picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts
    • Regular attendance and at least one shift within 6 months
