    ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

    As an On-Demand team member, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and the needs of the store. This role is perfect for those who prefer a customized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand team member, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that are posted by leaders or other team members using our myTime mobile scheduling app. We require your active engagement in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts to contact you.

    We will reach out to you throughout the year to confirm your interest and availability for shifts. If we don't receive a response, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.

    Upon being offered a position as an On-Demand team member, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and follow a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are prepared for your role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up the shifts you want to work.

    ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

    As a Guest Advocate, your role is to provide excellent service to our guests. You will exceed guest service expectations, both in-person and digitally. You will help guests by being knowledgeable about our offerings and services, making their shopping experience effortless and seamless. You will also be responsible for promoting and selling benefits and solutions to our guests.

    Being a Guest Advocate means every day is different, but your typical responsibilities may include:

    • Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience
    • Creating a welcoming experience by greeting all guests
    • Observing guests to understand their needs and tailor your approach accordingly
    • Engaging with guests and asking questions to better understand their specific needs
    • Being knowledgeable about products, services, and the store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
    • Thanking the guest and letting them know we appreciate their choice to shop at Target
    • Efficiently scanning and bagging items while maintaining food safety standards
    • Working efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
    • Informing guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
    • Promoting and assisting guests with the Target RedCard application process
    • Assisting guests with enrollment, activation, and usage of all fulfillment services and features
    • Showing guests how to use Wallet and other features and offerings within the Target App
    • Handling returns and following register prompts
    • De-escalating negative situations and improving the guest shopping experience
    • Providing easy and seamless service to guests utilizing Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry
    • Maintaining a clean work area
    • Demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
    • Working safely and identifying hazards
    • Supporting guest services such as order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU)
    • Performing other duties as needed

    • As an On-Demand team member, you must actively engage in picking up and working shifts using the myTime mobile app
    • We will contact you throughout the year to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts. Failure to respond may result in termination of your employment
    • You must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment
