Job Description
This job is for a Content Data Analyst – Vehicle Application Specialist, who will support company catalog data analytics initiatives for vehicle application parts look-up. The role involves collaborating with technology development and project teams to refine and apply data models, as well as working with business representatives to implement new processes and systems impacted by NAPA Catalog analytics efforts.
Responsibilities include analyzing vehicle application data, ensuring data validity and accuracy, managing relationships with NAPA Suppliers to protect both the Supplier and NAPA from false or inaccurate data, creating product codes based on automotive taxonomy, providing analytics on missing coverage and OE data management, and validating NAPA Supplier Interchange data.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, and willing to travel in the United States and Canada. They must also have good communication skills and be able to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Position Performance Measures: - Proper maintenance of part number applications from suppliers. - No coverage loss on received part number applications. - Reception of all catalog data before announcing a part number into the NAPA system. - Supplier responsiveness to data discrepancies and monthly score card reviews. Responsibilities: - Analyzing vehicle application data from NAPA Suppliers to ensure validity and accuracy. - Making judgment calls regarding NAPA Suppliers adhering to data standards. - Rejecting NAPA Supplier data that does not adhere to standards, presents liability or risk. - Managing relationships with NAPA Suppliers to prevent false or inaccurate data. - Creating manufacturer product class codes using supplier information or creative initiative. - Providing analytics on missing coverage, OE data management, and sister vehicle coverage. - Analyzing premium and value product lines to avoid missing application data and lost sales. - Ensuring no duplicate or excessive NAPA Supplier application data to avoid sales impact. - Validating interchange data and ensuring timely updates from NAPA Suppliers. - Managing discrepancy policy by validating and communicating discrepancies to suppliers. - Enforcing NAPA paper catalog standards with suppliers. - Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, and ability to learn NAPA Catalog PIM. - Willingness to travel in the United States and Canada. - Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. - Performing tasks as directed by management.
