Responsibilities:
This position involves conducting in-service inspections of boilers and pressure vessels with a focus on risk-based, loss-control strategies. It is a resident position located in the Cincinnati/Dayton area, responsible for inspections at FM Global client sites in Ohio. Some travel, approximately 15-20%, may be required both inside and outside of the area. Inspections are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and FM Global procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
Education: The consultant should have a BS in Engineering, an associate degree from a 2-year technical school, or a high school diploma depending on experience. A National Board In-Service Commission is required, and additional certifications in specific jurisdictions are a plus.
Experience: Essential experience for this position includes knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel construction, maintenance, and inspection, as well as mechanical and electrical equipment. Understanding of maintenance management systems and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods is vital. Experience with Jurisdiction Online software is a plus.
Requirements:
We are currently considering candidates for both Jurisdictional Consultant I and Jurisdictional Consultant II positions. The salary ranges from $61,900 to $123,300, depending on factors such as location, education, skills, and experience.
