ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND As an On-Demand TM, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who want a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. You will not be included in the posted weekly schedule. We require your active engagement by picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts at contact. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months. Failure to do so will result in termination. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and undergo a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up the shifts you desire. ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT As a Guest Advocate, you will be an advocate for the guest experience. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations. Your role will involve assisting guests in both physical and digital services and solutions. Working in this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Communicate and interact with guests in an inclusive manner - Solve guest concerns and provide a positive guest experience - Adapt to different guest interactions and situations - Promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services Your responsibilities as a Guest Advocate may include: - Prioritizing the guest service experience - Creating a welcoming experience for all guests - Recognizing guests who need assistance and tailoring your approach accordingly - Engaging with guests, asking questions to understand their needs - Having knowledge of the tools, products, and services available in the store to improve the guest experience - Scanning and bagging items efficiently and neatly - Working to minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy - Informing guests about brand launches, activities, and events - Assisting guests with the Target RedCard application process - Familiarity with fulfillment services and assisting guests with their use - Being knowledgeable about Wallet and other features of the Target App - De-escalating negative situations and recovering the guest experience - Delivering efficient service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests - Maintaining a clean workplace and stocking supplies - Following ethical conduct, safety, and compliance standards - Supporting additional guest services as needed WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We might be a great match if you: - Enjoy working in a fun and energetic environment - Are excited about providing exceptional service to our guests - Interact well with others and enjoy making things easy for them - Prefer a job that keeps you active and engaged Skills you should have: - Effective communication and attentive to guests' needs - Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members - Attention to detail while multitasking - Willingness to educate guests and sell products and services - Adaptability to evolving technology needs - Ability to work both independently and with a team Other requirements: - Accurate handling of cash transactions - Ability to lift or move merchandise, up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally - Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Active engagement in picking up and working shifts as an On-Demand TM.
