About On Demand

As an On-Demand team member at Target, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those who prefer a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand team member, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. These shifts are posted by leaders or other team members on our myTime mobile scheduling app. We require active engagement from you, including picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts at contact.

We will reach out to you throughout the year to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts at Target. If we do not receive a response, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.

If selected for the On-Demand team, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and undergo a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are prepared for your role. After that, you can pick up shifts through the myTime mobile scheduling app.

About Service & Engagement

As a Guest Advocate at Target, you will be an advocate for guest experience. You will welcome and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. You will also promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services that enhance the guest's experience.

As a Guest Advocate, your responsibilities may include:

• Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes guest service
• Creating a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
• Understanding and addressing guest needs through effective communication
• Being knowledgeable about products and services to enhance the guest experience
• Thanking guests and making them feel valued
• Efficiently scanning and bagging items
• Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
• Informing guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
• Promoting the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process
• Assisting with order pick up, drive up, and registry services
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Supporting guest services such as order pick up and drive-up
• Performing other duties as needed
