Job Title: Office Assistant Job Summary: We are seeking an Office Assistant to provide secretarial support to our Administration and Counseling Staff. Your role will involve various tasks such as typing, filing, emailing, and faxing student records, as well as assisting students in our Student Services department. In addition, you will support the Administration and Counselors in scheduling student meetings and processing student course changes. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Responsibilities: - Provide secretarial support by typing, filing, emailing, and faxing student records and communication between parents and Administration. - Greet and assist students in the Student Services department. - Support the Administration in various tasks. - Assist Counselors in scheduling student meetings and processing course changes. - Type, record, and file reports related to counseling activities and the functioning of the guidance department. - Serve as a backup to the Building Secretary in AESOP and Sub prep. - Provide support to the Main Office. - Perform any other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: - High school graduate or equivalent. - Previous office experience required. Preferred Qualifications: - Vocational or advanced training in office procedures desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule office responsibilities. - Good communication skills, both oral and written. - Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and email software. - Ability to develop and maintain record systems. - Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people. - Strong human relations skills, including helping and exchanging information. You can find the contract here. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, working 212 days a year, 8 hours per day, and 40 hours per week.
