All About On Demand

As an On-Demand team member, you have the flexibility to choose how much you want to work. Your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand team member, you will have the opportunity to pick up shifts that work best for you. We require active engagement, including picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts to contact you. We will reach out to you throughout the year and confirm your availability and interest in working at Target. If we don't receive a response, your employment with Target will be terminated. Regular attendance is important, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.

When you join as an On-Demand team member, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and undergo a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your role. After that, you can use our myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts that suit you.

All About Small Formats

In our smallest format stores, we strive to provide a consistent and exceptional experience for our guests. Our Small Format Team Members are experts in service, operations, process, and efficiency. They handle various tasks such as cashiering, stocking, and presentation to ensure products are available and accurately priced for our guests. We value exceptional guest service and anticipate their needs.

As a Small Format Team Member, your role would include:

• Creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests authentically
• Engaging with guests in a genuine way, understanding their needs, and providing the necessary assistance
• Working in all departments to ensure the sales floor is well-stocked and presentable
• Executing changes, revisions, and sales plans for your assigned areas
• Ensuring inventory accuracy through scans and audits
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the store, including attending to spills and garbage cans
• Completing backroom tasks such as stocking, backstocking, and equipment maintenance
• Prioritizing tasks, following processes accurately, and paying attention to detail
• Ensuring safety and compliance at all times, identifying and addressing hazards
• Supporting guest services such as cashier duties, order pick up, and Drive-up while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations
• And other duties based on business needs

Additionally, you should be able to:

• Accurately handle cash register operations
• Safely climb up and down ladders
• Efficiently and safely move merchandise, including lifting items up to 40 pounds
• Have a flexible work schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
• As an on-demand team member, actively engage by picking up and working shifts via our myTime mobile app and responding to our contact attempts. Failure to do so may result in termination.
