About the General Merchandise Role

As a General Merchandise Expert at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our guests. You will be responsible for tasks such as stocking shelves, inventory management, pricing, and ensuring a clean and organized sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests in a genuine and attentive manner
• Engage with guests to understand their needs and provide relevant information
• Maintain a well-organized sales floor and ensure accurate pricing and signing
• Execute sales plans, merchandise displays, and promotional activities
• Process inventory accurately and efficiently
• Operate equipment safely, if certified
• Follow safety guidelines and promote a culture of compliance
• Support guest services, such as cashiering and order pick up

Qualifications

• Positive and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Ability to handle cash register operations
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
