    Job Description:
    We are looking for a Subcontracts Manager to join our team. As a Subcontracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a subcontract, from sourcing to execution. This includes developing acquisition strategies, managing negotiations, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Our subcontracts cover a diverse range of customer segments and require expertise in different contract types. You will also have the opportunity to support business development activities by evaluating potential bidders and assessing risks. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the success of our projects and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors.

    Essential Functions:
    - Drive the execution of major subcontracts, including cost, schedule, technical aspects, and integration with the overall program
    - Act as a Subject Matter Expert in contract types, government proposals, negotiations, subcontractor management, and program risk management
    - Review technical statements of work (SOWs), enhance clarity and eliminate ambiguity, and hold other teams accountable for their contributions
    - Maintain advanced knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements (FAR/DFAR, international trade compliance, ITAR, etc.)
    - Apply problem-solving skills and data analysis to resolve challenges and improve processes
    - Collaborate with various functions such as Contracts, Program Management, Engineering, and Quality
    - Provide updates and communicate effectively to program and supply chain leadership
    - Support high-value proposals and subcontracts in partnership with SCMs, Program Management, and Technical personnel
    - Contribute to supply chain risk mitigation strategies and cost-saving initiatives
    - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally if required

    Qualifications:
    - Comprehensive knowledge of job area, preferably with in-depth knowledge of project management
    - Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience will be considered
    - Minimum of 7 years of experience in Procurement and/or Subcontracts, or a combination of related fields such as Contracts, Engineering, Quality, and Finance
    - Proficiency in MRP systems software
    - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Preferred Additional Skills:
    - DoD clearance is desired, but not required
    - Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    - Experience as a Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    - Lean Six Sigma experience
