Job Description

We are currently seeking a Country Risk Officer, VP to join our team at Global Country Risk Management. This role involves managing country risk within the second line of defense. We are looking for someone who has a strong background in economics and a passion for risk management.

Responsibilities of the Country Risk Officer include:

• Monitoring global and country developments independently
• Reviewing and challenging proposals for macroeconomic forecasts
• Preparing presentations to convey the team's analyses and views
• Building analytical tools to aid in reviewing macroeconomic forecasts
• Following and analyzing financial market, economic, and political developments
• Ensuring adherence to all relevant company policies

The ideal candidate will have strong academic training in economics, with at least 4 years of practical experience in macroeconomic research or analysis. Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and quantitative skills are also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary, and familiarity with statistical programming and financial tools is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
