Job Description:

L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Scientist, Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City facility.

**Position Overview : **

This person will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of communications systems from a technical perspective and providing technical leadership for DoD programs. The Scientist System Engineer is responsible for the lead technical role in life-cycle support of communications systems from conceptual development through product phase-out, and they are the technical point of contact for all internal and external customers. The role includes, but is not limited to, oversight ofarchitecture development, customer briefings, proposal writing, customer requirements management, technical documentation, technical project management, build and test oversight, integration, verification and qualification oversight, system deployment oversight and in-house technical management during the operational life-cycle of a system.

**Essential Responsibilities: **

• Work in conjunction with Program Management to interact with DoD customers to provide technical expertise on the use of L3H systems and technology to support DoD missions.
• Lead team to develop roadmap for future upgrades and architecture changes to an existing system
• Lead role to organize, participate, and manage key project/program engineering tasks and milestone completion
