Responsibilities: - The Student Nurse Internship Program in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is a paid internship opportunity for nursing students. - Gain valuable experience and clinical skills by rotating through clinic and hospital departments. - The program runs for 11 weeks from May 28th, 2024 to August 9th, 2024. - Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. - Communicate changes in patient's condition to the registered nurse. - Perform general nursing duties with supervision. Qualifications: - Must be on track to graduate from a baccalaureate or associate nursing program by December 2024 or May 2025. - Required application materials: - Cover Letter and Resume - Academic transcripts (can be unofficial) - Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Answers to two provided questions Additional qualifications: - Available to participate in the entire 11-week program. - Clinical experience and coursework in nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, and basic nursing skills. - Flexibility with work schedule. - Basic computer skills. - Ability to effectively communicate in English. - Problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and team-building skills. - Basic understanding of quality improvement concepts and techniques. Compensation and Benefits: - This position offers a predetermined rate of $17.75 per hour. - Benefits eligibility: No - Full-time schedule: 80 hours per pay period. - Rotations scheduled Monday through Friday, day, and/or evening shifts. - Professional development opportunities available.
