    Job Description

    As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Cooper University Health Care, you will provide basic life support care to patients of all ages, working in collaboration with other EMS providers. You will respond to emergencies in all weather conditions, using appropriate techniques and equipment to assess, treat, and transport patients to medical facilities. The role also includes completing required documentation and other assigned duties to support efficient EMS operations while maintaining professionalism.

    Experience Required

    Preferred: 1 year experience as a Certified EMT-B in a 911 system.

    Education Requirements

    High School Diploma

    License/Certification Requirements

    • ICS-100 or equivalent and IS-700 or equivalent upon hire. ICS-200 or equivalent and IS-800 or equivalent within the first year of employment.
    • Current NJ EMT certification or eligibility for reciprocity. National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification preferred.
    • BLS certification.
    • Current state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.

    Other Qualifications

    Must be physically able to work in all weather and environmental conditions, lift and move patients, and perform all duties required for providing ALS and/or BLS in the pre-hospital environment.

    All candidates must be at least 21 years old at the start date to comply with vehicle insurance requirements.

    Special Requirements

    Full-time position, 36 hours per week.
