About the General Merchandise Expert Position:

We are currently seeking General Merchandise Experts who will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and exceptional experience for our guests. This includes ensuring that products are stocked, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. As a member of the General Merchandise and Food Sales team, you will also assist with inbound and outbound processes, inventory accuracy, and food service operations. Your role will be crucial in delivering on our sales goals and providing a positive experience for our guests.

What You'll Gain as a General Merchandise Expert:

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience in creating a guest-first culture
• Understanding of retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends and inventory management
• Experience in executing daily and weekly workload to meet business priorities and sales goals

Responsibilities of a General Merchandise Expert:

• Create a welcoming experience for guests by greeting them authentically
• Observe and respond to the needs of guests, tailoring your approach based on their body language and verbal cues
• Engage with guests to understand their specific needs and provide solutions
• Maintain a knowledgeable understanding of the products, tools, and services available in the store
• Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked, organized, and signed for guests
• Execute price changes, planograms, and revisions for all general merchandise categories
• Assist in non-general merchandise areas of the store as needed
• Maintain inventory accuracy through scanning and auditing processes
• Operate power equipment if certified
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Support guest services such as cashiering, order pick-up, and drive-up
• Perform other duties as assigned
