    Job Description

    SALARY: $2,500 Starting Date: Immediately Season starts: November 13, 2023 ends March 13, 2024 Position Summary: We are looking for someone to assist in coaching the Girls Basketball teams. Your responsibilities will include recruiting and training athletes, organizing practices, fundraising, maintaining the practice facility and equipment, managing scholarships, budgets, and coordinating travel and meals. Essential Job Duties: - Teach the fundamentals of Basketball during practice sessions - Recruit and develop a competitive team - Evaluate each athlete's performance - Conduct and supervise practices - Schedule and attend contests - Ensure compliance with athletics policies and procedures, including health protocols Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree - Experience coaching Basketball at the high school or competitive level - Knowledge of Minnesota State High School League Rules - Ability to create and implement practice plans - Assist Varsity coach in game day preparations - Familiarity with social media and fundraising efforts - Strong organizational skills - Ability to positively influence and be a role model for female student-athletes Why Hiawatha?
