ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you have the freedom to choose how much or how little you work. Your schedule will vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you won't be included in the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. You'll need to actively engage by picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts to contact you. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment. If you're offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you'll attend a Target Welcome orientation and receive structured training to ensure you're prepared for your new role. After that, you can use our myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts. ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT We're looking for Guest Advocates who value the guest experience. As a Guest Advocate, you'll welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations. You'll be knowledgeable about both physical and digital services and solutions, helping guests with their needs and fostering guest loyalty. Your role will involve making shopping effortless and seamless, whether it's at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, or drive-up. As a Guest Advocate, you'll have the opportunity to: - Communicate and interact with guests to create an inclusive experience. - Use problem-solving and decision-making skills to enhance the guest experience and resolve concerns. - Adapt to different guest interactions and situations. - Promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services. Typical responsibilities may include: - Prioritizing the guest service experience and delivering excellent service. - Greeting and observing guests, tailoring your approach based on their needs. - Engaging with guests authentically and asking questions to better understand their needs. - Being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to assist guests. - Scanning and bagging items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards. - Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and guest service. - Informing guests about brand launches, store activities, and events. - Promoting the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process. - Assisting guests with fulfillment services, such as Order Pick Up and Drive Up. - Maintaining a clean work area and stocking supplies during store open hours. - Demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. - Supporting guest services such as order pick up and drive-up while following laws and regulations. - Performing other duties based on business needs. Basic Expectations: - Handling cash register operations and transactions accurately. - Efficiently and safely handling merchandise, including lifting up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. - Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. - Active engagement by picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our contact attempts.
