    ** What You Will Do :**

    We are seeking consultants who specialize in data engineering and architecture to help clients make the most of their data. Our consultants work closely with clients to provide a range of data analytics and data science services, including data querying, wrangling, engineering, visualization, business intelligence (BI), predictive analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI). These services help our clients define their information strategy, gain valuable insights, make data-driven decisions, reduce costs, increase trust, and improve efficiency.

    • Deliver a comprehensive range of data science services to support the mission of National Security clients.

    • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and communicate results effectively.

    • Work closely with other data science and analytics professionals in our Defense & Security segment to provide data science, data analytics, and business intelligence services in cross-functional teams.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a data engineer and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developer, handling various data types and file formats.

    • Manage ETL functions, develop, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures and tools.

    • Work with data integration and management tools, as well as databases.

    • Gather requirements, design, implement, and test database systems.

    • Design and develop databases using Structured Query Language (SQL) and create complex queries involving joins, subqueries, aggregation, indices, common table expressions, and query optimization.

    • Manipulate and move data of different types and file formats using Python.

    • Prepare and provide data for data science and machine learning purposes.

    • Demonstrate strong understanding of relational databases, columnar data warehouses, data lakes, NoSQL, and other storage types.

    • Work with cloud-based databases and ETL architecture.

    • Utilize Azure and Databricks in projects.

    • Design and build scalable and secure distributed systems.

    • Create technical process documentation.

    • Effectively present ideas, methods, and results to clients, and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

    • Successfully work on remote projects and hybrid on-site projects in the DC metro area.

    ** What You Will Need :**

    • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

    • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar analytical and computational discipline.

    • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

    • Proficiency in designing and developing databases using Structured Query Language (SQL) and performing complex queries.

    • Expertise in developing complex data pipelines and extract-transform-load (ETL) processes.

    • Ability to manipulate and move data of different types and file formats using Python.

    • A strong understanding of various types of data storage.

    • Experience working with cloud-based databases and architecture.

    • Familiarity with Azure and Databricks.

    • Ability to work on remote projects and hybrid on-site projects in the DC metro area.

    ** What Would Be Nice To Have :**

    • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance

    • M.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar analytical and computational discipline.

    • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.

    • Experience in architecting data solutions in Azure.

    • Experience using Databricks.

    • Familiarity with DevOps and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

    • Ability to implement basic automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

    • Experience with microservices architecture and API gateways.

    • Technical expertise in data models, data mining, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques.

    • Experience with source code version control technologies, such as Git.

    • Ability to code and debug stored procedures.

    • Experience supporting Federal National Security organizations.
