About On-Demand

As an On-Demand TM (Team Member), you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like, depending on your availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those seeking a personalized work schedule. Instead of being included in the posted weekly schedule, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you.

We expect active engagement from you, meaning you will need to pick up and complete shifts and respond to our attempts to contact you. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain employment.

If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and participate in a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your new role. After that, you can pick up shifts using the myTime mobile scheduling app.

• Communicate and interact with guests to create an inclusive experience
• Solve problems and make decisions to enhance the guest experience
• Adapt to different guest interactions and situations
• Promote and sell our various benefits, offerings, and services

Your Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting all guests
• Engage with guests in a genuine manner, understanding their needs
• Be knowledgeable about our tools, products, and services to assist guests
• Thank guests for choosing Target and provide excellent service at checkout
• Scan and bag items efficiently and maintain cleanliness at your workstation
• Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
• Promote the Target RedCard and assist guests with the application process
• Guide guests in using our mobile app and other features
• Handle returns and resolve any issues while following company policies
• Provide seamless service to guests using Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry services
• Maintain a clean work area and support overall store operations
• Work safely and comply with all safety policies and procedures

Additional Information

• Handle cash transactions accurately and safely
• Be able to lift and move merchandise, up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• As an On-Demand TM, you have the freedom to choose your shifts, but active engagement is required
