ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you'll have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule will depend on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you won't be included in the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you'll have the freedom to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. You'll need to actively engage by picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts to contact you. If we don't receive a response, your employment with Target may be terminated. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment. Should you be offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you'll need to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, you'll be able to use our myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up the shifts you want to work. ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT As a Guest Advocate at Target, you'll play a key role in creating an inclusive and exceptional guest experience. You'll interact with guests, exceed their service expectations, and provide assistance and solutions both in-store and digitally. Your main responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience - Creating a welcoming experience by greeting all guests - Using verbal and nonverbal cues to understand guests' needs and tailor your approach - Being knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to assist guests and enhance their experience - Scanning and bagging items efficiently and following food safety standards - Being aware of upcoming store launches, activities, and events and informing guests - Promoting the benefits of the Target RedCard to guests and assisting with the application process - Assisting guests with order pick-up, drive-up, and registry services - Maintaining a clean and organized work area and stocking supplies - Prioritizing safety, following compliance procedures, and supporting adult beverage laws WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We might be a great match if: - You enjoy working in a fun and energetic environment - Providing exceptional service excites you - You enjoy interacting with people and making their day better - You prefer a busy job where every day is different and involves teamwork The following skills are important for this role: - Effective communication and attentive to guests' needs - Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members - Attention to detail while multitasking - Willingness to educate guests and sell products and services - Ability to learn and adapt to new technology - Comfortable working independently and with a team Additional expectations: - Accurate cash register operations and cash handling - Ability to lift and move merchandise safely (up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally) - Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Active engagement as an On-Demand TM, responding to contact attempts and working at least one shift within 6 months.
