Admitting Representative - Job Opportunity Job Family: Admitting Representative Travel Required: None Clearance Required: None What You Will Do: The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for gathering and confirming personal information, insurance benefits, and eligibility. They assign the correct medical record and account number, which ensures accurate billing and clinical information. This position performs various assigned job duties. Schedule: - Part-time evening position - 3 weekdays: 5:30 PM-10:30 PM CT - Rotating weekends: 2:30 PM-11:00 PM CT Key Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate data collection - Provide excellent customer service - Gather complete and accurate demographic and financial information from various sources, including patient interviews, physician offices, and in-house departments - Obtain required signatures on legal consents and insurance forms - Perform pre-certification, credit referral, or deposit collection when required - Enter data into computer systems and thoroughly document incomplete admissions/registrations - Notify patients, family members, physicians, and supervisors of insurance coverage issues - Review physician's orders for completeness - Complete Medicare Compliance and obtain ABN (Advanced Beneficiary Notice) if necessary - Maintain knowledge of all Federal, State, and Local Laws related to insurance rules and regulations - Manage multiple computer systems - Maintain positive customer service, referring unresolved issues to appropriate supervisors - Answer telephone calls, follow pre-established script, and provide assistance to callers - Complete all shift duties in a timely and accurate manner - Comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures What You Will Need: - High School Diploma or equivalent - 1 year experience in a hospital setting or medical office utilizing insurance websites - Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM - Familiarity with medical terminology Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with patient registration in a hospital setting - Insurance verification experience What We Offer: Guidehouse offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package, reflecting our commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.
