    Responsibilities of a Guest Advocate:

    • Create a welcoming experience by greeting and engaging with every guest authentically.
    • Connect with guests through friendly conversation to assess their shopping experience and tailor your approach accordingly.
    • Welcome guests at self-checkout and provide assistance as needed.
    • Efficiently scan and bag all items while adhering to food safety standards and company best practices.
    • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and excellent service.
    • Inform guests about upcoming brand launches, store events, and promotions.
    • Explain the benefits of the REDcard and assist guests with the application process.
    • Show guests how to use the Target App and its features and offerings like Wallet and fulfillment services.
    • Handle returns with care, following register prompts and Target's policies and procedures.
    • De-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
    • Provide exceptional service to guests picking up orders, using Drive Up, or visiting the registry or photo department.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Stock supplies during store hours and be available to assist guests.
    • Express gratitude after every guest interaction and ensure their satisfaction.
    • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
    • Perform other duties as needed based on business requirements.

    Additional requirements:

    • Accurate handling of cash register operations and transactions.
    • Efficient and safe handling of merchandise, including lifting items up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
    • Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
