Short Description We are currently seeking a Patient Relations Advisor who will be the main point of contact for any issues or concerns raised by patients or their families. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be proactive in engaging with patients and families, and be able to collaborate effectively with department leaders. Responsibilities include addressing patient concerns, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and resolving potential issues to prevent legal disputes. Key responsibilities include: - Serving as a resource for information on patients' rights, advance directives, and ethical issues. - Coordinating and resolving patient grievances regarding the quality of care and service. - Collecting, analyzing, and evaluating patient concerns to drive improvement. - Having a thorough understanding of the organization's mission, policies, procedures, and services to address patient questions and concerns. - Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards. - Responding to potentially serious incidents and minimizing the possibility of litigation. - Providing leadership and consultation to committees and departments that impact patient needs and rights. - Referring patients and families to appropriate services and resources. - Taking a leadership role in promoting patient and family experiences. - Participating in decision-making processes across the health system to enhance patient experiences. - Leading patient and family meetings. Experience Required - A minimum of 5 years of customer service experience, with preference given to candidates with hospital experience. Education Requirements - High School Diploma or Equivalent required, although a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
