About the General Merchandise Expert Role

The General Merchandise Expert is responsible for ensuring a consistent and positive experience for our guests. You will be part of our General Merchandise and Food Sales team, leading various processes to keep our store organized and stocked. Your role will involve supporting our guests, improving their experience, and contributing to the success of our business.

What You'll Gain as a General Merchandise Expert

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience creating a guest-first culture
• Understanding of retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends and inventory management
• Experience in executing daily workload to support business priorities and sales goals

Responsibilities of a General Merchandise Expert

• Create a welcoming experience for guests by authentically greeting and assisting them
• Engage with guests, ask questions to better understand their needs, and provide solutions
• Zone, stock, and maintain accurate signage for your assigned General Merchandise areas
• Execute revisions, sales plans, planograms, and price changes for General Merchandise
• Assist with transitions and In Store Marketing (ISM) in non-General Merchandise areas
• Ensure inventory accuracy by conducting scans and audits
• Process inbound deliveries and handle backstock efficiently
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a culture of ethical conduct
• Support guest services, such as cashier duties, order pick-up, and Drive Up (training provided)
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
