All About On Demand

As an On-Demand Team Member, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you'd like. Your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand Team Member, you won't be included in the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. We expect active engagement from you in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts to contact you.

We'll reach out to you throughout the year to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts. If we don't receive a response, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.

If you're offered a position as an On-Demand Team Member, you'll be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and participate in a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you're prepared for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up the shifts you'd like to work.

All About Service & Engagement

As a Guest Advocate at Target, you'll play a crucial role in creating an inclusive guest experience. You'll assist guests with their needs, exceed their service expectations, and provide support both in-store and digitally. Your responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming and thanking guests
• Identifying and addressing guest needs
• Providing knowledge about store products and services
• Assisting with purchases, returns, and resolving concerns
• Supporting fulfillment services like order pick-up and drive-up
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Promoting Target RedCard and other offerings

Important Information

When working at Target, there are a few additional things to note:

• You may be required to handle cash transactions
• You'll need to be able to lift or move merchandise, up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally
• A flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary
• If you're an On-Demand Team Member, we expect your active engagement in picking up shifts and responding to our contact attempts. Failure to do so may result in administrative termination of your employment. You must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.
