Job Opportunity: General Merchandise Expert at Target

About the General Merchandise Expert Role

As a General Merchandise Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a consistent and enjoyable shopping experience for our guests. You will be responsible for various tasks, including maintaining product availability, accurate pricing, and attractive displays on the sales floor. You will also assist with fulfilling online orders and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming experience for all guests by greeting them authentically
• Observe and assess guests' needs to provide appropriate assistance
• Engage with guests, ask questions, and provide product knowledge to improve their experience
• Ensure the sales floor is organized and products are stocked and signed correctly
• Execute pricing, promotional, and inventory management processes
• Assist in non-General Merchandise areas of the store
• Process deliveries and maintain inventory accuracy
• Operate power equipment if certified
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
• Support guest services as needed, including cashier duties and order pickup
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Positive and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Ability to handle cash register operations
• Ability to climb ladders and lift or move merchandise up to 40 pounds
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
