Join Quad's team as a General Laborer

At Quad, we are actively seeking entry-level General Laborers to join our team in Milwaukee. As part of our commitment, we partner with a local community agency to offer monthly career readiness workshops and employment support to ensure the success of our employees before they start at Quad. During the conditional career readiness workshop, you will receive paid training at a rate of $17.50 per hour. The workshop focuses on overcoming barriers, developing work readiness, and workplace essentials. The next workshop will start in January 2024.

After successfully completing the career readiness workshop, you will participate in Quad's New Hire Orientation and our 0-60 training program. Upon completion of both programs, you will be scheduled for a permanent shift at Quad. We provide free transportation to and from Quad for up to a year of employment. We especially encourage women to apply.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Remove product from printing press or finishing machine
• Stack loose or completed products onto pallets
• Move products using equipment like hand jacks or forklifts (training provided)
• Follow quality, safety, and work regulations
• Effectively communicate with team members
• Assist with special tasks to meet customer requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, you must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have previous experience in printing, factory, or mechanical work (a plus)
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Be able to read and write measurements
• Have good reading and verbal comprehension
• Be comfortable using computers and touch screens
• Be capable of repetitive hand and wrist movement
• Be able to lift and handle weights up to 60 pounds
• Be able to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Be a team player in a fast-paced production environment
• Be able to follow instructions and work independently
• Be available for 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and holidays
• Work 2 days per week (either Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday/Friday)
