Responsibilities: - Open to both experienced and new graduate nurses. - Location: Eisenberg 94/93 (EI94/93), Bone Marrow Transplant/Hematology (General Care). - Patient Care Type: Our unit is designed with a HEPA air filtration system to protect immunosuppressed patients from airborne infections. We provide care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and stem cell infusions, from initial diagnosis to end-of-life care. We also participate in cancer research programs. - Nursing Team Roles: Our nurses are skilled in apheresis/marrow harvest preparatory regimens, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, intensive supportive therapies for immunocompromised patients, stem cell and marrow infusions. They also provide emotional support and patient/family teaching. - New Graduate Nurses: All newly graduated Registered Nurses with less than 12 months of experience are automatically enrolled in our Nurse Residency Program. Extensive orientation is provided for all new nurses.
