Position Summary

We are looking for a collision apprentice repair technician to join our team at Penske. In this role, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn and grow your skills in truck and trailer collision repairs. Our primary focus is on helping you develop your abilities in truck and trailer component repairs so that you can eventually become a Body Shop Technician III.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians with minor electrical system repairs, surface preparation for refinishes, minor cab accessory repair/replacement, and minor cargo box repairs
• Learn and apply new skills to independently execute minor truck and trailer component repairs or replacements
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Focus on progressing to a technician III role
• Complete other assigned projects and tasks as directed by your supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Preferred vocational/technical school education
• Working knowledge of relevant tools and equipment preferred (e.g., welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, power tools)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Basic computer skills required
• Must comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management
• Must adhere to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work required schedules, and complete necessary background checks and drug screenings

This position is safety-sensitive, and the ability to work in a safe manner with constant alertness is required. Associates must prioritize personal safety and the safety of others.
