Job Description
We are hiring for a role in our Financial Institutions and Counterparty Credit team within Wholesale Credit Risk at Citi. This team is responsible for managing our credit exposures worldwide and works closely with regional and industry specialists. We handle a portfolio that includes banks, broker/dealers, insurance companies, funds, hedge funds, and other types of counterparties. Our products and services include loans, derivatives, trade finance, clearing and settlement, cash and securities services.
Please note that this role is Certified, meaning it is subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. This is part of the Individual Accountability Regime, which aims to ensure that employees in certain roles categorized as specified significant harm functions are fit and proper for their role. We will assess your fitness and propriety for this role through interviews, self-disclosures, checks on criminal records and references, credit checks, and other background screening checks.
Job Purpose:
As the Head of Financial Institutions and Counterparty Credit, your role is to implement the vision and strategy for our team globally. You will collaborate with other key partners in the first line of defense, such as the Institutional Clients Group, Citi Global Wealth, and Institutional Credit Management, to oversee and challenge our credit activities related to Financial Institutions. You will also ensure that our portfolio remains within the risk appetite of our overall business strategy. Additionally, you will oversee and govern Counterparty Credit Risk through the implementation of risk metrics, exposure controls, and reporting, focusing on transactions and counterparties that give rise to Credit Risk.
