    About the Team

    In this role, you will work with a small group of highly motivated sales professionals who are dedicated to helping small and medium-sized business owners grow through accepting payments and potentially saving them money. The team reports to an experienced sales leader who will provide support in every way possible.

    What You Will Be Doing

    You will represent the world's largest payments provider, primarily through leads provided to you by assigned bank branches. This is not cold calling. You will spend your time inside bank locations, developing strong relationships with branch managers and staff to increase revenue. Additionally, you will schedule appointments with small-to-medium-sized business owners to educate them about FIS products and services relating to payments.

    • Develop strategies for selling services to merchants in your assigned territory
    • Identify new revenue opportunities for merchant services through referrals, lead lists, referrals from current merchants, and self-sourcing
    • Become knowledgeable about products, value-added services, and pricing models offered to targeted merchants, and recommend additional products and services to enhance their businesses
    • Utilize available resources to ensure merchants are properly set up on the FIS system, processing transactions, and billed according to the agreement
    • Respond promptly to prospect inquiries and requests, and prepare proposals, letters, and presentations using FIS resources
    • Provide regular reports and updates, both written and verbal, to your manager regarding prospect status, revenue, and deal count achievement

    What You Bring

    • Proven track record of at least 2 years of business-to-business sales success and relationship expertise
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills, as well as analytical skills to understand client's business requirements
    • Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure

    Added Bonus If You Have

    • Banking experience
    • Merchant sales experience
