HR Assistant
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting with the design, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures to ensure fair and equitable practices
- Providing guidance to departments on employee training, job assignments, performance appraisals, compensation, and promotions
- Communicating company policies and procedures to employees and managers
- Investigating employee issues and addressing concerns in a timely manner
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Preparing reports and analyzing data to support management decision-making
- Conducting new employee orientation sessions
- Providing HR guidance and support to managers during performance and salary review processes
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Professional HR certification is preferred.
General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of HR practices and procedures
- Knowledge of equal employment and labor laws
- Proficient in general office procedures
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to handle employee issues with sensitivity and empathy
- Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and evaluate information objectively
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees, management, and clients
FIS Job Level Description
This is a professional-level role suitable for experienced individuals with moderate skills and a high level of proficiency. In this role, you will provide support to small to medium-sized business groups, working on problems that require analysis and judgment. You will have opportunities to take on small projects outside of your regular duties.
