About the Role
The Corporate Subsidiaries Controllership Manager is a newly created position within our team. We are looking for an accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic and agile environment and is passionate about improving outcomes. As a member of the Financial Controllership Team, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate and efficient reporting of financial results.
The Role's Impact
- Manage priorities effectively, adapt quickly, and develop efficiencies to achieve goals.
- Lead a collaborative and inclusive culture by working closely with other Controllers teams.
- Identify and implement accounting improvements that increase business value and efficiency.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives to improve quality, close cycle times, and employee engagement.
- Compile and review financial results and support external audits of non-insurance subsidiaries.
- Develop financial reporting and accounting implications for non-routine transactions.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures for accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with various departments across the organization.
- Support efforts to improve the financial close process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major.
- 5+ years of related work experience with increasing responsibility.
- Significant knowledge and experience of U.S. GAAP.
Ideal Qualifications
- CPA certification, strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience.
- Master’s degree.
- Previous experience in legal entity controller roles, strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to tell the story behind financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work well in a dynamic and agile environment.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continue learning.
- Experience with S4/ Hana.
