About On-Demand

As an On-Demand team member (TM) at Target, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you, posted by leaders or other team members, using our myTime mobile scheduling app. We require active engagement in picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts at contact. Regular attendance and working at least one shift within 6 months are necessary requirements for this role. If offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule before using the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts.

Service & Engagement

As a Guest Advocate, your role is to ensure a positive and inclusive guest experience by providing exceptional service. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest expectations through guest interaction and recovery. You'll be knowledgeable about our offerings and services both in-store and digital, promoting and selling them to drive guest loyalty. Your responsibilities will include greeting and assisting guests, solving guest concerns, scanning and bagging items, educating guests on benefits and services, and more. Your communication and adaptability in different guest interactions and situations will be key to your success. You'll also play a crucial role in providing easy and seamless service to guests in areas like Order Pick Up and Drive Up.

What We Are Looking For

We value effective communication, a welcoming attitude, attention to detail, willingness to educate guests, and adaptability to evolving technology needs. The ability to work independently and as a team is also important. You should be able to handle cash register operations and merchandise efficiently and safely. Our flexible work schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays. As an on-demand TM, we ask for your active engagement in picking up and working shifts through our myTime mobile App, as well as responding to our contact attempts. If we don't receive a response, your employment may be terminated. You must work at least one shift within 6 months.
