Starting Hourly Rate: $15.00 USD per hour

About the General Merchandise Role:

As a General Merchandise Expert at Target, you will be part of the team that ensures a consistent and enjoyable experience for our guests. You will be responsible for various tasks related to operations, process efficiency, and product presentation in the General Merchandise areas of the store. Your role will also involve providing a fresh and food-safe experience in the Food & Beverage and Food Service sections.

Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming experience for all guests by greeting them authentically
• Effectively communicate with guests and tailor your approach based on their needs
• Stay knowledgeable about the products and services available in the store to assist guests
• Maintain sales floor organization, ensure products are stocked and accurately signed
• Execute pricing, promotions, and planograms for General Merchandise categories
• Support other areas of the store as needed, such as transition sets and In Store Marketing
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform regular audits
• Operate power equipment if certified and ensure safety at all times
• Follow processes accurately, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail
• Assist with guest services like cashier duties, order pick up, and Drive up
• Perform other duties based on business needs

Skills and Qualifications:

• Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology
• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Quickly resolve guest questions and follow multi-step processes
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Basic Requirements:

• Accurate cash handling abilities
• Ability to climb ladders and lift/move merchandise up to 40 pounds
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
