    Role Overview:

Your responsibilities will include transforming business processes, improving operational efficiency, strengthening policies and controls, ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations, and enhancing transparency and performance management.     Position Description:

    As an Entry Level IT Risk & Internal Audit Consultant, you will be involved in providing technical delivery for Defense & Security clients, specifically in IT risk and controls assessments, remediation, and related support. These clients are responsible for internal control coordination and monitoring within their organizations, including assessments according to OMB Circular A-123, as well as assisting with remediation and other internal controls tasks. Your main responsibilities will include working directly with clients and stakeholders, conducting IT controls assessments, performing walkthrough interviews, reviewing artifacts, evaluating control effectiveness, documenting results, communicating assessment outcomes to stakeholders, planning and executing assessments, working with clients to identify weaknesses and develop remediation plans, and providing subject matter expertise.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance
    • US citizenship
    • Currently pursuing or completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited United States college or university (expected completion between fall 2023 and summer 2024)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Preferred degrees: Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Audit Readiness
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy controls and regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FISCAM, etc.)
    • Familiarity with operating systems, databases, vulnerability management tools, configuration management tools, and other tools that support a successful cybersecurity program
    • Understanding of project management principles and phases
    • Experience working in teams and producing high-impact deliverables
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to create and edit technical and non-technical written work
    • Ability to view problems from multiple perspectives and propose a variety of solutions
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
