Responsibilities:

• Performing tasks related to specimen receiving and processing
• Assisting in blood issuing and distribution process
• Performing laboratory testing and pre-analytical work
• Preparing and packaging specimens for referral labs
• Participating in the development of standard operating procedures
• Training new team members or colleagues who need assistance
• Assisting consultants with specimen collection and research
• Triaging specimens based on complexity and patient history
• Preparing complex reagents
• Maintaining work unit supply inventory levels
• Performing order entry and troubleshooting in computer systems
• Resolving pre-analytic specimen-related issues
• Assisting with phone inquiries related to laboratory testing
• Accommodating scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, and weekend work

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Associate's degree in a health or science related field preferred
• Aptitude for working in a laboratory or interest in biologic or chemical sciences
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $21.73 to $31.13 per hour. Comprehensive benefits are also available.
