About the On-Demand Team Member Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you prefer. Your schedule will vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members through our myTime mobile scheduling app. It is important for you to actively engage by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our communication attempts.

We will reach out to you throughout the year to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts at Target. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.

When joining as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and participate in a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts according to your availability.

What a Guest Advocate Does

As a Guest Advocate, your main responsibility is to deliver exceptional guest service. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. You will also promote both physical and digital services and solutions, ensuring guests have a seamless shopping experience.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Communicate and build an inclusive guest experience
• Solve guest concerns and adapt to different interactions and situations
• Promote and sell benefits, offerings, and services
• Assist guests with various tasks such as order pick-up, drive-up, and registry services
• Maintain a clean work area and support store operations
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

As a Guest Advocate, you should:

• Communicate effectively with a welcoming and helpful attitude
• Pay attention to detail while multitasking
• Be willing to educate guests and sell products and services
• Adapt to evolving technology needs
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Handle cash register operations and cash transactions accurately
• Be able to lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Be available for a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
