Position Summary:
We are looking for Mobile Technicians to join our team. As a Mobile Technician, you will assist in repairing and diagnosing major components of vehicles or replace major components as directed by the PFM Asset Supervisor. This includes performing preventive maintenance services and diagnosing and repairing various systems such as clutches, brakes, air conditioning, and more.
**Please note that this position is managed by our corporate team, and you will not work on equipment in a Penske facility.
Major Responsibilities:
- Show proficiency in repairing and diagnosing engines, power train components, electrical systems, HVAC systems, steering systems, and more.

- Perform maintenance and repair tasks with little or no supervision.
- Identify required parts for repair.
- Perform preventive maintenance services.
- Document warrantable repairs.
- Maintain work area appearance, safety, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Follow all work requirements from Penske and customers.
- Road test vehicles when necessary.
- Use various hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect and test equipment for malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
- Inspect and adjust protective guards and safety devices.
- Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts.
- Specialize in repairing major components.
- Order and manage parts inventory.
- Be the primary customer contact and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage tire and wheel inspections and inventory.
- Follow Penske safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in tractor trailer maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification preferred.
- Proficiency in using shop tools.
- Current CDL license with air brake certification required (or willingness to acquire CDL).
- Ability to read a map and operate a non-articulated vehicle safely.
- Self-starter with minimal direct oversight.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
- Ability to understand and comply with instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
- Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
- Willingness to travel, work the required schedule, complete background checks and drug screenings.
Physical Requirements:
The physical and mental demands of this job include:
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods.
- Daily use of hands to operate tools and controls.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions.
- Ability to see and hear well to navigate the work environment.

Salary: $38.00/hour or $79,040/annually
