ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND: As an On-Demand team member (TM) at Target, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a customized work schedule. You won't be included on the posted weekly schedule but will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. You need to actively engage by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts to contact you. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment. If offered the position as an On-Demand TM, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are prepared for your new role. After that, you can pick up shifts through our myTime mobile scheduling app. ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT: As a Guest Advocate at Target, you play a key role in providing exceptional guest service. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations through positive interactions and problem-solving. You will be knowledgeable about our products, services, and digital solutions to enhance the guest experience. Your responsibilities may include assisting guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up. A typical day as a Guest Advocate includes: - Prioritizing the guest service experience and delivering service standards - Authentically greeting all guests and quickly understanding if assistance is needed - Engaging with guests to understand their specific needs - Solving guest issues and improving their experience by utilizing your knowledge of the store's offerings - Scanning and bagging items efficiently and adhering to food safety standards - Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy - Informing guests of brand launches, store activities, and events - Promoting the benefits of the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process - Educating guests on various fulfillment services, such as order pick-up and Drive Up - Demonstrating how to use the Target App and its features - Handling returns and de-escalating any negative situations - Providing easy and seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests - Maintaining a clean and organized work area - Following safety and compliance policies WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: - Enthusiasm for working in a fun and energetic environment - A service-oriented mindset that delights guests - Strong communication skills and attentiveness to guests' needs - Attention to detail while multitasking - Willingness to educate guests and sell products and services - Adaptability to evolving technology - Ability to work both independently and in a team ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS: - Handling cash transactions accurately - Safely lifting and moving merchandise (up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally) - Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Active engagement as an On-Demand TM, responding to our attempts to contact you and working at least one shift within 6 months AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA): If you have a disability and require assistance during the application process, please let us know.
