Job Opportunity: Securities Data Analyst (SDA) Summary: As a Securities Data Analyst, you will have a crucial role in resolving complex data issues within the Investment Data Ecosystem. Your expertise will assist users across the organization in identifying and understanding the root causes of data issues and providing detailed analysis. Additionally, you will collaborate with vendors to ensure effective resolution of issues and implement new data requests. Your focus will be on improving processes and ensuring investment data quality. You will develop a strong understanding of investment types and their life cycles and contribute to projects and standards adherence. Team Overview: The Securities Data Analyst team is part of the Investment Data Integrity team within the MassMutual Investment Operations division. This team is responsible for overseeing all data flowing into and through the investment ecosystem. They work closely with the Investment Data Quality team to identify and address operational issues, collaborate with product owners and developers to prioritize improvements, and represent the Investment Data Ecosystem across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Gain a comprehensive understanding of data flows within the investment ecosystem and how it is used by stakeholders - Resolve data issues to facilitate investment and regulatory reporting - Communicate and collaborate with external partners and asset managers to support mandate objectives - Lead root cause analysis and resolution of investment data challenges - Provide ongoing support to data users while ensuring proper documentation of processes Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - At least 5 years of experience in securities data management and understanding of securities life cycle - At least 5 years of experience in investment data management, from ingestion to reporting - Familiarity with GAAP and STAT accounting principles - Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field - Knowledge of data management tools like Eagle PACE - Familiarity with investment accounting platforms like Eagle STAR - Proficiency in Excel and SQL/Oracle query tools - Experience with reporting tools like Microstrategy - Strong communication skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively - Innovative problem-solving skills and adaptability to change - Collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a team What to Expect: - Regular meetings with the Investment Data Operations and Analysis team - Dedicated one-on-one meetings with your manager - Access to mentorship opportunities - Networking opportunities through various Business Resource Groups - Access to learning content on Degreed and other platforms - Valued ethics and integrity within a company that offers competitive pay and benefits MassMutual is an Equal Employment Opportunity: We welcome individuals of all backgrounds to apply for this position.
