About the Role: Nielsen's mission is to help marketers and media companies measure and improve advertising performance by accurately reporting on what consumers watch, see, or hear. We are currently seeking a Technical Product Owner to drive product development and technical initiatives for our Panel Portfolio. This portfolio supports the recruitment, installation, and maintenance of our Audio, Digital, and Television Panels. As a Technical Product Owner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new product development. You will work closely with Product Managers, other Technical Product Owners, technology leaders, and development teams to develop our critical Television Panel Management product. Responsibilities: - Create and manage sprint and release plans for product development initiatives. - Collaborate with Development, Product, and key stakeholder groups to deliver projects related to product development and research. - Work directly with application development teams to define requirements and create user stories using agile development principles. - Facilitate agile ceremonies such as Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Demos, and Backlog Grooming. - Ensure alignment on scope across all stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. - Communicate the overall status of initiatives and escalate issues to senior leadership. - Participate in the planning increment process to align planned work for development teams. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business, systems analysis, or computer science preferred. - 7+ years of experience in a dynamic business environment, with most experience in technology-focused roles. - Knowledge of Agile development practices. - Experience working closely with technical teams. - Familiarity with PEGA technology or Nielsen data/process is desired. - A willingness to embrace change and influence a team towards a culture of quality. - Strong communication, persuasion, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Ability to effectively manage multiple competing initiatives. - Able to listen and quickly analyze situations to recommend actions for project deliverables. - Ability to translate between business and technical needs. The salary range for this role is estimated to be $50,000 - $185,000 and may be adjusted based on geographic location and individual circumstances such as experience, training, certifications, and business requirements.
