    Job Description

    Job Summary: We are looking for someone who can inspire and support students and ensure a clean and safe environment for learning. As the Assistant Coordinator of Custodial Services, you will be responsible for training, supervising, and evaluating custodial staff. You will also work with our facilities operations team to maintain and improve our equipment and tools. Your role is crucial in helping us achieve our mission of empowering scholars to achieve their dreams and contribute to the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Design and conduct training for new custodial hires - Assess and recommend equipment needs for maintenance - Educate new custodial staff on workplace safety and policies - Demonstrate and enforce housekeeping standards - Collaborate with stakeholders to establish sustainable practices - Evaluate the performance of custodial staff - Inspect sites to ensure quality and compliance - Research and implement efficient housekeeping methods - Conduct performance evaluations for staff and building engineers - Coordinate summer cleaning programs and district-wide trainings - Maintain preventive maintenance standards using software - Direct special services teams - Assist in maintaining painting and carpet replacement schedule - Handle recruitment and hiring of custodial team members - Facilitate regular meetings with building engineers - Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED is required - Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills - Minimum of eight years of housekeeping and facilities equipment management experience - Minimum of five years of management experience or relevant education and experience Physical Requirements: - Must be able to perform all physical activities required of a custodian - Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights License/Certification: - First Class Boilers license preferred within three years - CPO certification preferred within one year - EPA underground tank certification preferred within one year Salary and Benefits: - View salary grids in the Management Personnel I-M agreement - Salary range: $90,433 - $102,462 - 225 work year schedule - Full-time position Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our workforce.
