We are currently hiring for the position of Lead Threat Detection Engineer. In this role, you will work with a team of skilled engineers and analysts to develop customized detection methods and automate investigation tasks for fraud and abuse across the Target Guest experience. You will have the opportunity to solve complex problems and work with cutting-edge technologies. We are looking for individuals with experience in Kotlin/Java, Kafka, sql/nosql DB, and a background in cyber threat or fraud detection. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. About You: - Preferred four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent - 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role - Experience with Kotlin/Java, Kafka, sql/nosql DB - Familiarity with Hive, Elasticsearch, Postgres/Redis/Mongo or other database technologies - Knowledge of Business Rules Engine Management systems like Drools rules engine - Proficiency in Spring Boot Framework, Gradle, Kotest or other unit and integration testing frameworks - Understanding of common web application technologies and basic networking - Demonstrated analytical expertise and adaptive learning skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment This position offers a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement, which means you will perform your core role both onsite at the Target HQ MN location and virtually, based on the needs of your role, team, and tasks.
