Job Description We are currently looking for a Child Life Specialist who will support patients and their families by assessing their psychosocial needs and providing therapeutic interventions. These interventions may include preparing patients for medical procedures, offering coping strategies, and creating opportunities for different types of play. The Child Life Specialist will also act as an advocate for pediatric patients and visitors, and be a valuable resource for other hospital staff in areas such as child development, family-centered care, trauma-informed care, age-appropriate interactions, and bereavement support. Experience Required - Preferred 3-5 years of experience in child life - Knowledge of child life practices and techniques Education Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Child Life or a related field - Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with completed Child Life Certification License/Certification Requirements - Must obtain Certified Child Life Specialist certification within 12 months of hire - Completion of a 600+ hour Child Life Internship Special Requirements - Full-time position with mid-shift hours, totaling 40 hours per week Please fill out the form below to express your interest in this position.
