*** Senior Manager leading 3 Managers - total team size of 75-85 members

We are looking for a compassionate and inclusive Applications Development Group Manager to join our team. As part of the Issuer Services Technology senior management team, you will be responsible for leading and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our project oversight and delivery of solutions to the Operations and the Front Office businesses are top-notch and able to support our business growth goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple teams of staff and vendors/contractors, providing career guidance, hiring, and disciplinary actions

• Maintain regular and open communications with senior stakeholders from the Business and Operations

• Implement strategic recombination of platforms and applications to align with future goals

• Manage critical application platforms used by NAM Agency & Trust

• Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development to achieve goals

• Coordinate with management across the organization for resource and budget planning

• Lead organizational and cultural change and provide change management leadership

• Make evaluative judgments and negotiate with senior leaders and external parties

• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and maintain high ethical standards

• Technology skills for team:

  • Java, C#, .NET, Spring, Spring Boot, ORM
  • JMS, MQ, NDM, SFTP
  • Angular, HTML5 (JavaScript, CSS), TypeScript, Sencha ExtJS, Jquery, ASP.NET
  • SQL Server, DB2
  • Cognos

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of senior development management experience leading a team of managers overseeing local and remote application development, project management, business analysis, and quality assurance testing resources
• 10+ years’ hands-on experience developing applications including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support
• 3+ years’ experience delivering software solutions using an Agile/iterative methodology
• Expertise in project governance, demand prioritization, and resource supply management
• Extensive experience leading large technology programs and solution delivery teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in multi-tasking and managing numerous projects and tasks concurrently
• Experienced in cultivating high-performance work environments
• Hands-on leader with a passion for excellence
• Experience managing vendors and contracts
• Ability to motivate team members towards both tactical and strategic goals
• Outstanding performer with attention to detail
• Experience using JIRA is a plus
• Hands-on early career experience in a technical IT role preferred
• ITIL certification is a plus
• Prior industry experience in Banking/Financial Services or Professional Services/Management Consulting is a plus
• Experience leading transformational programs and managing global technology teams is a plus
• Stable work history with progressive career growth

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a Computer Science or related field
• Master’s degree is preferred

Jersey City Salary Range:

$170,880 - $256,320 USD Annual

Tampa Salary Range:

$136,700 - $205,050 USD Annual
