Responsibilities: - Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, education, and transitions of care - Support professional nursing practice across different settings and care levels - Follow Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice - Provide leadership through mentorship, teaching, and quality improvement efforts - Demonstrate excellent communication skills and participate in committees or projects Qualifications: - Graduate of a recognized baccalaureate nursing program or have relevant RN experience - Associate degree registered nurses must complete a baccalaureate degree in nursing within five years - Preferred one year of RN experience or LPN experience at Mayo Clinic - ICU/ED experience required; PACU experience preferred - Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment - Computer skills and experience with electronic medical record systems preferred - Flexibility to work various hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends - Adaptability to unpredictable situations in the work setting - Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking skills - Current RN license and ACLS and BLS competency - Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required Exemption Status: Nonexempt Compensation Detail: $38.34 - $57.54 / hour Benefits Eligible: Yes Schedule: Full Time Hours/Pay Period: 72 Schedule Details: Monday to Friday with rotating days off, 3x12 hour shifts between 0530-0800. Weeknight call coverage 2030-2400, approximately 3 shifts/8 weeks. Response time is 1 hour. Weekend Schedule: Call coverage from 0700-1800, approximately 1 weekend day/8 weeks. Response time is 1 hour.
