Job Responsibilities

- Accurately check-in and admit incoming patients in both hospital and emergency department settings. - Verify patient demographic information and collect insurance data. - Create appropriate accounts and collect co-payments or share of cost. - Use positive patient identification protocols to ensure safety and obtain necessary consents. - Adhere to quality assurance guidelines and productivity standards.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree. - Effective reading and communication skills. - Basic computer and keyboarding skills, intermediate math competency. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and handling skills. - Prior desk, appointment, or secretarial experience preferred. - Familiarity with scheduling systems and procedures preferred. - Ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds. - Knowledge and experience using an Epic RC/EMR system preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

- Hourly salary range: $18.95 - $24.66. - Eligible for benefits. - Full-time schedule, 80 hours per pay period. - Some shifts may be during the day or overnight, with flexibility required due to the 24/7 operations. - Scheduled every other weekend and holiday.
